About Lois Lake
Lois grew up on a wheat farm on the great plains of Southeast Colorado. She discovered early that life is not always blue skies and sunshine, but it is full of opportunities. The key is to recognize those opportunities when they occur and take advantage of them. The ability to make the most of the resources you are given, and skills of survival acquired on a farm have influenced her philosophy of life and carries over into her photography.
Lois has placed in numerous photo competitions with The Mile High Wildlife Photography Club. She was awarded the People’s Choice Award in Parker Artists Guild Best of PAG show in 2018 and 2nd place in the 2019 Best of PAG show. She earned 2nd place for Artistic Merit at Tri-Lakes Center for the Arts 2019 Monochrome Exhibition.
Lois placed in the top 250 at Share the View International Nature Photography Contest sponsored by the Denver Audubon in 2013, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020. In 2019, Lois was a guest speaker at Share the View presentation of awards.
