Description
We went to Forebay Reservoir, south of Leadville, Colorado to go fly fishing. I got my rod all set up and as I was waiting for the fish to bite I marveled at my surroundings. It was Spring and the lupine and paintbrush were more spectacular than I had ever seen them. Then I began to notice all the hummingbirds feeding on the wildflowers. I could not help myself. I put my fly rod away and got out the camera. I sat down right in the middle of the wildflowers and waited for them to get comfortable with me being there. Soon they came back to the food. When I got home I used the colors of the lupine, paintbrush and sulfur paintbrush to digitally paint the background. Then I merged the hummingbird with the one paintbrush that he was sipping on to create this digital image. The Fine Art America logo will not appear on your print.
